Typically our clients come to us because they are always tired, gaining weight despite not changing their diets, they are depressed and anxious, they have no sex drive, they have trouble sleeping, and the list goes on. These symptoms are quite common amongst Americans and, here at Medical Spa NP, we prioritize finding the source of these symptoms. Traditional medicine will prescribe anxiety and depression medications when you present with these symptoms. They never check your hormones and they rarely check the correct labs for your thyroid. Depression and anxiety medications simply trick your brain into feeling it is less anxious/depressed and these medications do not treat any sources that originate outside the brain! We strongly feel that instead of prescribing these medications as a first line, your hormones and vitamins and other sources that allow your body to regulate itself should be examined prior to changing your brain’s chemistry. We have several clients that have slowly weaned off their depression and anxiety medications once we optimized their hormones.
